The Day Training Workshop

This program targets individuals who need support in a closely monitored setting with intensive, small-ratio supervision. Open Door’s personal care professionals provide pre-vocational education with individual care plans, motor development and basic living skills training, extensive community integration, social activities, and diverse adult education options.

Facility-based Employment Workshop

One of the foundations of Open Door’s services, the facility-based employment program serves community business and individual needs. With both production and light manufacturing capacity, Open Door’s “west” facility offers packaging, sorting, labeling, clerical, and various types of assembly services to area businesses. In turn, as Open Door clients work at the west facility, they gain valuable vocational training.

Each individual focuses on the development of:
  • Work skills
  • Work attitudes
  • Personal characteristics
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Work behaviors

These skills give the individual the functional capacity to achieve positive employment outcomes.
