Ways to Help
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
In 1963, two families – David and Juanita Graf and William and Virginia Squier, Jr. – changed the world for their two children. And in doing so, they changed the world for hundreds of adults in DeKalb, Kendall, and LaSalle Counties.
A person with disabilities has talent and potential. The Grafs, the Squiers, Open Door, and – most importantly…YOU – have made lasting contributions to clients and their families by “Helping People Help Themselves.” This is central to every program and service…from the very first employment workshop to our current residential and training programs.
With your help, we make it possible for every client to thrive. With your help, let’s change the world.
Open Door Rehabilitation Center has provided developmental training and residential services to adults with intellectual and disabilities for more than 50 years. We rely heavily on the generosity of our donors and communities so that we can continually improve the quality of our services.
Aside from monetary donations, there are supplies and items that we use frequently and will always accept. Items can be shipped or dropped off directly at Open Door (405 S Wells St, Sandwich IL 60548). You may wish also to shop through Amazon Smile and we’ll receive an additional donation!
Thank you for your generosity and for “Helping People Help Themselves!”
